In such conditions, in the session of A driver group A, #188 KRac Man'ya Shouten WM Levin's player Koji Uchimura marked 2 minutes 20 seconds 463 for the top time. Ikuo Ota, who drives #25 BRIDE ADVAN FIT, marked 2 minutes 23 seconds 115 to update the course record for FIT 1.5, and was not only the top in the class but also the 6th in the A driver group A.

In the A Driver B Group (Class-5, 6, 7, 8, 9), the machines with larger engine displacement were naturally faster, with many teams achieving lap times under 2 minutes and 20 seconds. Among them, the top time was set by #9 Fukuda Solar NS Potenza WM's Higashi Goto, who recorded a time of 2 minutes and 12.081 seconds, setting a new Class-8 course record with a large lead of 4.641 seconds. In second place was #18 Asano Automobile Prelude's Takeo Asano with a time of 2 minutes and 16.722 seconds, followed by #51 Braille Battery Mars Civic's Masamichi Kato with a time of 2 minutes and 17.128 seconds.

The rain comes and goes, but the session continues. In Group B Driver A, #188 KRac Manya Shouten WM Levin's Yoshihiko Kakuta is the top in 2 minutes 20.613 seconds, and in Class-4, he is undoubtedly the top. In second place is #42 Shiooka SP Acre AS Yanagimoto Levin's Eiichi Sato, and in third place is #28 Sunspot Dock Marine MR2's Shinya Nakamura, making Class-4 the top three.

And on this day, in the final qualifying session for Group B Driver B, #9 Fukuda Solar NS Potenza WM's Yasunori Nakajima set a time of 2 minutes 11.715 seconds, further breaking the course record previously set by A driver Goto! Securing an undisputed pole position in Joy TAI, where the grid is determined by the combined times of A and B drivers.
"This year, everything has gone as smoothly as possible so far. Last year, I couldn't run in qualifying due to a fuel system trouble and started from the very back, so this year is the complete opposite result. We also have good data on fuel efficiency, and I believe that if we can drive as planned, we will get good results," he commented.
