The Superbike Race in Motegi is an exhilarating motorcycle race event where top-class Riders compete.

From veterans to promising newcomers, the thrilling battles among the Riders of the moment are sure to excite even first-time spectators!

Furthermore, it is a special event packed with numerous activities and gourmet foods that can only be enjoyed here,
allowing you to enjoy it with all your senses!

Here, we introduce tips so that even beginners can fully enjoy the Superbike Race in Motegi!

What is the "All Japan Road Race Championship"?
The pinnacle of motorcycle racing in Japan!

The Superbike Race in Motegi is positioned as the 4th round of the All Japan Road Race Championship.
The All Japan Road Race is divided into classes based on engine displacement and performance, but the class that attracts the most attention is the top-tier "JSB1000." The machines used in this class are based on commercially available 1000cc class supersport motorcycles.

As the most powerful class, the highlights are the breathtaking speeds and the intense battles!

It is also a class where top Riders active both domestically and internationally gather.

In the All Japan Road Race Championship, teams using Japanese leading motorcycle manufacturers such as Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki participate alongside teams using overseas manufacturers like Ducati, BMW, and Aprilia. At the opening round, the Motegi 2&4 Race, a Ducati machine won, and a BMW machine reached the podium, intensifying the competition even further.

No glory without teamwork!

The All Japan Road Race Championship awards the Rider who completes the designated number of laps for each class the fastest. Points are awarded based on finishing positions. The Rider who accumulates the most points throughout the year is honored as the annual champion.

What separates victory from defeat is not only the Rider's technique in maximizing the machine's performance with sudden braking from otherworldly speeds and cornering at extreme angles, but also the teamwork involved in machine setup and tire management, as well as the team's strategy, which are all extremely important.

Focus on the 'Divine Cornering'!

Watch out for the thrilling overtakes in the corners, the overwhelming acceleration on the straights, and above all, the incredible techniques of the Riders maneuvering machines approaching speeds of 300 km/h!

Among them, cornering to the point of using your knees and elbows is truly a divine skill! If you watch it on-site, you can experience the stunning engine sounds firsthand, and even beginners are sure to be captivated by its charm!

Who is the featured Rider?
  • Katsuyuki Nakasuga
    YAMAHA FACTORY RACING TEAM

A legendary rider who continues to lead the top tier in Japan even after turning 40. This season, he is also participating in the Suzuka 8 Hours for the first time since 2019, making him a unique presence who, despite his extensive career, never loses his challenging spirit.

  • Suzuno Ryō
    DUCATI Team KAGAYAMA

Since 2024, Suzuno Ryō has been challenging the JSB1000 class with DUCATI Team KAGAYAMA, brilliantly proving Ducati's potential by winning the Motegi 2&4 Race that same year. In the 2025 season, he also claimed victory at the opening Motegi 2&4 Race but missed Round 2 due to an injury sustained in a crash during pre-event testing at SUGO. His return to the Suzuka 8 Hours and the Motegi event this summer is eagerly awaited.

  • Uramoto Shujo
    AutoRace Ube Racing Team

Returning to the All Japan Road Race for the first time in 8 years since 2017. Utilizing his overseas experience, he is showing skillful riding and challenging the Suzuka 8 Hours, making him a dark horse presence in 2025.

Recommended Items & Clothing

What kind of clothing and items are good?

The best way to enjoy the event is in your own style, but if you're unsure about your outfit or what to bring, feel free to use this as a reference!

About Clothing
  • ① Hat

To protect yourself from the sun, a hat or cap with a wide brim is essential. For heatstroke prevention, breathable materials are recommended. It is also important to choose one that fits well and is less likely to be blown away by the wind.

  • ② Bag

Backpacks or crossbody bags that free up your hands are convenient in the viewing area. Choosing a lightweight, body-fitting type makes moving around comfortable and managing valuables easier. Waterproof ones provide extra peace of mind in case of sudden showers.

  • ③ Tops

To avoid direct sunlight, breathable long-sleeve shirts or short-sleeve T-shirts with arm covers are ideal. It is also important to avoid colors like black that easily absorb heat.

  • ④ Bottoms

Stretch fabric pants that allow easy movement even after sitting for long periods, or breathable shorts are recommended. Since the circuit has many paved areas, it is better to choose a length that can protect your knees in case of emergencies.

  • ⑤ Shoes

Since you will be walking long distances, wear familiar sneakers or trekking shoes. Sandals are not recommended because the asphalt can get hot and you may have to walk through crowds.

  • ⑥ Sunglasses

To protect your eyes from strong sunlight and glare from the road surface, prepare sunglasses with UV protection. Lightweight, sport-type sunglasses that do not slip easily are recommended.

About What to Bring
  • ① Mobile Battery

When watching for a long time, you may worry about your smartphone's battery. It's reassuring to bring a spare battery.

  • ② Long-sleeved jacket

It is a good idea to bring a thin long-sleeved shirt for sunburn protection.

  • ③ Binoculars / Opera Glasses

If you want to see the machines and pit work more clearly, don't forget your binoculars or opera glasses!

  • ④ Kappa Poncho

Be prepared for rain and don't forget your rain gear. Umbrellas can be a nuisance to those around you, so a raincoat or poncho is recommended. Even if the weather forecast predicts clear skies, it's a good idea to have it just in case.

  • ⑤ Plastic Bag

It is useful for storing towels and clothes that have become wet from sweat or rain. Having a few large and sturdy plastic bags prepared can be convenient for various other uses as well.

  • 6. Seat Cushion

If you will be sitting for a long time to watch, having a seat cushion makes it comfortable. It is especially a must-have for unreserved seating.

  • 7. Towel

An essential item for wiping sweat or rainwater on rainy days. A larger towel can also be useful as a sunshade to block sunlight and as a cold weather accessory.

  • 8. Sunscreen

The summer sun is a major enemy to your skin. Be sure to apply sunscreen thoroughly before going out and during the race.

  • 9 Cash

At Mobility Resort Motegi, many places support cashless payments, but since communication may become congested at race events where many people gather, it is advisable to carry some cash just in case.

  • 10. Radio with Earphones

At Mobility Resort Motegi's in-house commentary FM (80.9MHz), you can listen to live broadcasts from the venue, so if you have a radio with earphones, you can clearly follow the race from anywhere.

  • 11. Smartphone

Since you will need to show your ticket at the entrance gate, keep your smartphone in a place where you can quickly take it out! For peace of mind in case of emergencies, it’s also a good idea to bring a printed paper ticket.

  • 12. Heat Countermeasure Items

Essential heat countermeasure items include handy fans (portable fans) and cooling towels! Nowadays, there are various types of countermeasure goods available, so be sure to choose the ones that suit you in advance.
