* In the event of a tie in total points, according to the 2012 Motegi Champion Cup Race Special Regulations Chapter 16 Article 70 ~3), the competitor with the greater number of top-6 finishes shall be ranked higher.
* If a decision cannot be made by the 2012 Motegi Champion Cup Race Special Regulations Chapter 16 Article 70 ~3), then according to Chapter 16 Article 70 ~4) of the same regulations, the competitor with the higher position in the Final Round shall be ranked higher.
* If a decision cannot be made even by Article 70, Section 4) of Chapter 16 of the 2012 Motegi Champion Cup Race Special Regulations,  a decision will be made by the organizing committee according to Article 70, Section 5) of Chapter 16 of the 2012 Motegi Champion Cup Race Special Regulations.
